Here is the pathology report:
Papillary carcinoma of the thyroid with:
- histologic subtype - classical papillary
- tumour diameter - 1.8cm
- no extrathyroidal extension
- no lymphvascular space involvement
- surgical margins, negative for malignancy
- perithyroidal lymph node, minute (1) - negative for malignancy
- unremarkable parathyroid gland
Not sure what this means - and it may be because my brain isnt functioning right now.
I do know that the surgeon suggested removal of the remainder (right side) of the thyroid in three months times, followed by RAI.
If anyone could shed some light on what the pathology means (other than the obvious) I'd appreciate it.

Your gonna get through this like you got through the surgery and the LONG wait for these results. we are going to be there every step of the way. Its going to be hard, but in the long run, you will be a stronger person. You're already strong, its just hard to see through this fog your in.
