Soy stimulates the thyroid (if you have one) as it also contains a lot of salt.
If you have Graves, i would avoid Soy.
A lot have complained about teeth and gum issues with thyroid disorders so think that the bleeding gums is from that and not the soy.
Discontinue the soy asap.
Thanks, i did not take it last night and will avoid until i see endo. just trying to get relief for dry eyes. I tried restasis and hated it. couldn't use it, stung to long and had lingering effects.
xo, Kim
I havent had problems with dry eyes but sometimes if my levels are 'up', I wake with 'pink yes' but got the all clear from the Opthamologist.
There are others here who have had the dry eye syndrome....maybe ask for a solution.
All the best
xo
I take flaxseed oil for my eyes instead of fish oil.
thanks but checked the flax seed also has soy in it. so going to stay away until i talk to endo and see if what i was taking was enough to induce bleeding gums.
thanks, Kim
I use stuff they gave me Systane during day, and genteal at night, but they just don't do the trick, tried restatis, but couldn't hack it, and nutrtionist suggested fish oil.
i sit behind a computer for 8 hours a day and hardly move, so years of that have caught up with me, plus i have graves eye disease which keeps my lids open all night.
thanks for answering, Kim
it does? how do you find these things out...scary. Maybe I should stop.
this is what i read, off internet, now this is flax seed oil, not flax seed.
INGREDIENTS
Cold-pressed unrefined organic flaxseed oil, hexane free DHA algal oil (contains soy lecithin), non-genetically engineered natural vitamin E mixed tocopherols and organic rosemary extract (to protect freshness).
I am assuming soy lecithin is soy right?
just typed in google flax seed oil ingredients.
When i go to endo next month going to ask about both of these.
If my thyroid mind remembers i will let you know!!!! LOL
