I had to work outside yesterday...

...under a dark, overcast, drizzling sky.  Then out of nowhere the sun decided to come out and I was without sunscreen, sunglasses or a hat.  Now my eyes are really puffy with hive-like bumps underneath and don’t know what to do.  I broke open an aloe plant but even that’s not helping much.

I hope it recedes soon.

I’m now going to purchase those ‘these are too expensive and they all only break anyway’ sunglasses I opted against buying the other day.  Guess I need them now even though I hate glasses – I swear my ears are uneven so glasses always look crooked.  Also, guess I always need to bring sunscreen even though I don't like that either.

Thanks, I feel better today.  Thanks too for the sunscreen suggestions.

I bought some sunglasses today.  Now I look real hip-hop, like Jay-Z or something.  Look out!

During the recent heat wave in Toronto (20 celsius - about 70 farenheit is balmy for Toronto this time of year) I tried a new sunscreen on the market - Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Sunscreen SPF 60 with Helioplex.  It was excellent.

Thy - I hope you are feeling better soon - that sun is certainly dangerous!

Ouch.  That is awful. Have you tried tea bags on your eyes? That can help swelling, as well. Cucumber slices, too - chill first for an even better feel.

I hate sunscreen, too - it's so greasy and makes me break out.  But I'm so pasty white that I have to wear it. I had good luck last year with some of the spray on ones.  They didn't feel greasy at all and provided good coverage.  I have to get some super SPF cream this year, though, for the good ol' TT scar.  I'm going to get some of the high SPF lip balm for it, too - in case I forget the sunscreen.

I hope you're feeling better soon!
