That's: "...(swollen thyroid)..." Oy.
A goiter (a swollen thyriod) is serious and needs to be treated by a physician.
The cost of any surgery is expensive, but endocrine surgery is on the higher side. For one thing, the scans and testing are expensive. But also, endocrine surgeons went through additional training, argal, they come at a higher cost.
Here’s my unsolicited advise: If you even have an inkling that you might need to go in that direction; do anything you can to pick up health insurance.
