I have been on Armor for 8 years now. I had a hysterectomy two years ago and then had my annual thyroid tests done. After the doctor tried to convince me to change medication, she then reduced my thyroid meds by 30 gr. I had been on 90 gr for years and all symptoms were gone. she lowered it because the TSH was testing at .37 (normal for Armor)
History - from 2001 to 2006
TSH range from 2001 to 2006 .4 to .57
T4 range from 2001 to 2006 .7 to 1 (.8 to 1.8 test range)
T3 range from 2001 to 2006 299 to 302 ( 230 to 420 test range)
Recent test-on 60gr for 2 years
TSH .91
T4 1
T3 257
Since 2006 I have had low energy, overtrain very easy (long recovery time in days), deep sleep is an issue and struggled with weight (keeping it off). I have celiac so my diet is extremely clean....... it is not the diet or the 4 days a week of kickboxing or running. so please don't tell me it is diet and exercise.... it is NOT.
I recently decided I would self medicate and increase my thyroid to 90 gr again. Now I am gaining weight (body fat). I feel better and my mind is much more clear. my memory is greatly improved and I am sleeping better. My work outs are better.
Why am I gaining weight by increasing my Armor back up to 90 gr? is this normal? I have had no issues with this since 2001 and after years of undiagnosed hypothyroid this was an absolute joy!!!!!
