My wife is not herself

When me and my got together when had a good time together. In the last year things have changed and now we have separated. She left while I was at work. We have been separated for a month and she advised me that she has to have her thyroid removed. She is cranky complains alot and everything is always my fault. She also said that she is feeling as if she is losing her family and son. Once she has the surgery will she return to normal.

Her well being, after thyroid surgery will truly depend on her treatments.  My thyroid was removed almost 4 years ago, on the most part I lived a normal/happy life, but also had my bad day's during hormone imbalance, but managed through.

Important for your wife to find a reputable surgeon and endo for treatments, most do really well after thyroid surgery.  Good luck to you/wife.

She didn't tell me whether it was hypo or hyper. She said she had to have it removed. But her emotions are not good. She is not being herself

Do you know why her thyroid is being removed?  Is she hypo or hyper thyroid?  Is she currently taking any thyroid meds?

Thyroid hormones are needed by every cell in the body.  So, when there is either too much of them or too little, symptoms can occur anywhere.  Your thinking and emotions can also be affected.
