I've never seen it backordered. A couple of alternatives if it isn't expected soon: 1) take one 100 and half of a 25, 2) one and a half 75s.
You might have to get your doctor to rewrite the script in order for your pharmacist to be able to fill it that way.
I did and she just went up the 12. I totally agree that I think I should go up to 125 but I won't see her until the 2nd of April. I too am concerned. My levels are way to low. Ill keep you posted. Have you ever heard of levoxyl being back ordered? The 112 is on back order by Pfizer.
Yes, any increase should help your FT4 level go up, but it's going to take some time for your FT3 level to follow FT4 up. While I'd ordinarily agree with a conservative increase like 12 mcg, your levels are very low, and considering you're pregnant (first trimester, I assume, since you just found out), I'd think she'd want to get your levels up quicker. Have you discussed your levels with your OB?
Yes she does know I'm pregnant and she just increased me to 112 mcg. I'm hoping this will increase my levels. They say you need more thyroid hormones when your pregnant. If it wasn't complicated before, now it's even worst. Do you think 112 will help increase?
It can take some time for everything to rebalance. Is she concerned with your current levels and suggesting an increase? Does she know you're pregnant?
Hi endo wanted me to stop because I just found out that I'm expecting and she feels of course that my TSH so low that she wanted to try t4 only meds. A part of me wanted to try t4 only also to see if I can do one pill aday instead of three. Maybe if I upped my meds I would only need t4. It's hard to remember to take three pills aday. I still didnt feel well on that combo. I feel better now but I know I need more meds. This thyroid stuff is tiring. Still trying to get my doses right.
You increased T4 from 88 to 100 mcg, yet you decreased T3 by 10 mcg, which because of the relative potency of T3 to T4 is the equivalent of decreasing 40-50 mcg of T4. So, net you decreased by 28-38 mcg in overall dose. Your labs did pretty much what I'd expect them to do.
Why did you cut your T3? I think it's obvious from your current labs that you don't convert well.
Incorrect storage means the drugs are likely to decrease in potency long before the expiration date. This is one possible consideration.
