Levels and medications that may effect levels.

Hi,

Well, where to begin...  I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 10 or 11 years ago.  I've been on Synthroid or Levothyroxin 50mcg.  In the past 5 years I seem to feel more tired, gain more weight and now I'm diagnosed with carpal tunnel.  I also seem to have many of the symtoms like high cholesteral, easy bruising, unhealthy nails, acid indigestion, intolarance to cold, joint pain, and loss of the outside of my eyebrows.  To complicate things, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and I'm on medicine that blocks estrogen ( Aromasin 25mg) and a antidepresent for the hot flashes (Effixor 75mg) because of the tumor being estrogen positive.

I just had my blood work done the other day and I'm awaiting the results.

My questions are in a couple of different areas.  What are the levels I should be at with my blood test for the T3, T4, and TSH levels?  Is the other medicines I'm on going to effect my thyroid hormone levels?  Should I see a endocrinologist?  I have not seen and endocrinologist since I was diagnoised.

Anything you can assist me with would be appreciated.

Thank you

I received my results.  My TSH 3rd Generation is 1.900 uIU/mL and my Free T4 is .94 ng/dL.  I do not have a T3 result?

When you get your thyroid labs, get a copy and post the numbers with lab ranges here so we can take a look.
TSH- most people feel best around a 1.0   New ranges are .30-3.0
Free T4- should be mid normal range
Free T3- mid normal to high normal range
Let me know when you get them! :)
