Low thyoid symptoms with slightly enlarged thyroid

I haven't been feeling well for a long time up to a year, my Thyroid tests were a little out of range last year on the low side, this year they are in range.  My cholesterol is 196 range is below 200, I have severe osteopenia, I am cold all the time, weight gain, unable to lose weight, fogginess, unable to focus, memory loss, slight depression, no drive or ambition, severe dry skin. My estrogen was very low - I finally went to an endocrinologist today and I feel like still no answers? she wants to put me on a low dosage of estrogen patch and wellbuterin? then she checked my neck and felt some inflammation, she did a sonogram which confirmed a slight enlargement of the left lobe. They are now testing for thyroid anitbodies which I had to ask them to do. She didn't give me the scripts for the patch, the wellbuterin and didn't tell me what to do or why I have an enlargement? she was really busy. What is going on, I feel awful. I need to get better soon it is interfering with my job, my marraige, etc. What is the plan after this? My primary care for sure thinks it is my thyroid due to the symptoms, this endo says she goes by the numbers and they are in range?

Hello,
She has not given me anything yet. Bloodwork was taken by primary care doctor. They are TSH  1.360  range is 0.450-4.500  /  Thryroxine (T4) 6.8  range is 4.5-12.0  /
T3 Uptake  35  range is 24-39  / Free Thyroxine Index 2.4   range is 1.2-4.9.
tested 1-26-10, last test was 4-09 and the T3 was low only. my symptoms are dead on with hypo. My mom has hyper, my aunts all have hypo, and grandmother. I feel awful, my primary care really suspects hypo. But now the endo states inflammation and slight enlargement, I have to wait for antibody tests to come back. I am 46 years old and also in perimenopause ( had hysterectomy 20 years ago leaving one ovary) that is the reason she wants to put me on the estrogen patch. She may want to put me on low dosage of snythoid, I forgot to mention that also. Please help!

Hi,

do you have your numbers?  Please post them and the reference ranges.

Then we can better advise you.

She has given you an antidepressant.  I would be reluctant to take that without further looking at your numbers..... to make super sure that there are no thyroid problems first.

Give us some more info please.
