Milk substitute?

I have to go on the LID for 4-5 weeks and have been searching for an allowable milk substitute.  Does anyone have any coments about Rich's Non-dairy creamer?  I was hopeful about a coconut milk I found in a carton in the refrigerated section but turns out is has carageenan in it.   I put sour cream, ranch dressing or have milk all the time with my foods since I am "saliva challenged" after my radiation treatments.   I have printed up the Thyca cookbook and hope to do some shopping this week.  I postponed until after Christmas because I just couldn't bring myself to go off my meds and start this darned diet!  Any ideas would be appreciated.

The coconut milk in the dairy/milk section does have carrageenan in it.  But if you go to the Asian section, they sell cans of coconut milk that does not have carrageenan in it and is really good!  I have been using that in my coffee and also adding a little bit to my smoothies to give it a more creamy taste.

Rice milk and almond milk are very good. But just don't forget, if you are not on dairy you need to up your calcium elsewhere. Almond is high in calcium but you may need more than that to keep levels good.
Many non-dairy creamers contain corn syrup which is not a good thing!

Try almond milk. It tastes better than regular milk.
