Chest pain and burning

Hello, i increased my thyroxine from 100mg to 125mg in february 2010. Since then i have been very ill. On 23rd April i started to have pains in my chest and burnng sensation. The burning has been constant for a week now and pains usually at night. I have suffered chest pain with thyroid problems before, but this burning is causing me stress. Could it be related to increased dose, Which shows tsh dropping, but t4 rising?

I agree with utahmomma, I have had this happen several times when I become over medicated.  The burning sensation is a scary and awful thing to experience.

Best Wishes

My TSH became over suppressed and I ended up with high BP, chest pains, dizziness, racing heart, heart palps, burning feeling, and crazy anxiety.  It got so bad that I had to go to the ER and found out I was in thyroid storm - my TSH was 0.009!   I was over medicated.  Had to reduce the dose and go on beta blockers for a month

Get your TSH checked and if you keep having chest pains get to the ER (tell them about your thyroid problems).  Better safe than sorry!

I wouldn't go another minute with those pains without having the doctor evaluate and check them out. I too have heart issues after having a TT, however, chest pains are not pleasant , therefore ask the doc for guidance.

I disagree...I think the jump in the dosage may be too high and that you shouldve gone from 100mcg to 125mcg.
I have never increased my doses by more than 12.5mcg each time as I too get the 'hyper' feeling.
I think you should get yr labs done again or maybe decrease to 125mcg for a while but see your Doc first about this.

I think there is no relatio with the increase in dose.
For how long you have been taking thyroxine med?
