Yes I have the same problem. I have hashimotos, as well. Its when your gland wrapps around your neck, pushing and choking you! You need to just relax. My doctors told me I can take a tylenol, or ibu to help with the swelling. It gets so bad it will send you to an anxiety attack! Just keep donig the things you love, and yes that was one of the first thing my doc ordered, was a thyroid scan. Thats how they found it. Do you have symptoms of hyper tooo????? My doc is running another upper scope just to make sure everything else is okay. I know it is, since i had one done four years ago. Just keep your head up and take vitamins.:)
I have an ENT dr and i'll scedule an appointment in a couple months, i have no insurance right now due to changing jobs, i've come this far so i can wait a little longer.
I appreciate your replies, thank you!
Thyroidtitis is very uncomfortable and can be the reason for your problems. The thyroid medication also has an effect on changing one's voice too.
If you are concerned with 898's thoughts the only way to tell if nodules are present is to request an ultra sound scan on the thyroid. This may be helpful for you EVEN if it is an enlargement. I believe with thyroid disease an ultra sound once a year is helpful anyway.
Good Luck
I do not know if you have any nodules in the thyroid, but the symptoms you are describing can be sign of nodule growing near the voice nerve(unless recent ultrasound shows otherwise)
