Need Help Interpreting: Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody and Thyroblobulin

I had my TSH Tested last week and it was high (5.57), but so was my free T3 (4.7) so my doc redrew the labs thinking it was a fluke. She also drew the following labs:

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody
<10 IU/mL [0-35]
Thyroglobulin Ab <20 IU/mL [0-40]

I cannot read what those results mean, or even tell if the results were included?

Also had my Estradiol tested 49/pg (but I am not having a period at all so I can't tell if I should be concerned about this level or not because all of the 'scales' for interpretation depend on what point of the menstrual cycle it was drawn in.

My Free T3 is now showing as normal 2.7, same with T4... No word yet on the TSH.

I'm really most interested in the Thyroid antibodies test. Can anyone tell me what that means?

Congratulations! you don't have antibodies! As Barb said, it means that none were detected in the blood. So if you are having symptoms it may be non-thyroidal and you may need more investigations.
Personally for me a TSH as yours would make me feel crud, regardless of the Free T4 or Free T3! That number in Australia would be classed as hypothyroid. Are you on any thyroid medication as yet?

Your antibody tests indicate that you don't have any........

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody (TPOab)         result < 10 IU/mL         reference range  0.- 35  Interpretation is that your count is less than 10; you could have up to 35 and still be considered negative; anything over 35 would indicate an autoimmune disease.

Thyroglobulin AB            result < 20       reference range 0-40; Interpretation is the same as for TPOab - you could have up to 40 IU/mL and still be considered negative......

The < 10 or < 20 is the MDL (minimum detection limit) for that particular lab.  Both of those results indicate that you don't have an autoimmune disease, BUT - I'd recommend that you have them both tested periodically to make sure they stay there......

I'm more interested in the reference range for the FT3 - these ranges vary from lab to lab so the range must come from you own report.

Would also like to know the actual  FT4 result, along with the reference range - "normal" usually means nothing to many of us because we can fall into a so-called "normal" range and still feel like something the cat dragged in.......

Most importantly -- what, if any symptoms do you have??
