I was diagnosed 8 mo. ago with graves deseas, was clinically blind, my doctor treated me with prednisone (still am taking small dose for 3 more weeks) i also went though 2 weeks of radiation and recently she put me on singular (this has worked great with the swelling) i now see at 20/30 and use reading glasses for reading, what ever you do, don't wait get your treatment as soon as you can. If you have to get apointment with a different endo dr. also see and orbit specialtist, AGood luck Ruth
Welcome Jennifer. Some of us went several yrs before a proper diagnosis. Too bad they don't run thyroid panels as often as they do CBC, this could save many a lot of headache.
As to when you'll feel better, everyone is different, but the average time that ppl start feeling better again, is 2-4 weeks. I know you feel miserable now, but it DOES get better!! Did they start you on a beta blocker or ATD(ANTITHYROID MED). Please don't tell me they didn't give you anything!!
