Acne from Cytomel?

Hi!  Been a while since I've been on!
I have a question for those of you on cytomel (or have been on it in the past)... Did it give you acne?  After I started it, I noticed I was getting "cystic" pimples on my chin/jawline.  They kept getting worse.  I actually stopped the cytomel for a few weeks, and they got better, but I felt horrible.  Started cytomel again, pimples back immediately.  Sigh.
Did this happen to you?  Anyone know the reason?  Is it maybe too high a dose?  I'm also taking Synthroid, so I am wondering if I should increase the Synthroid and lower the Cytomel.
Thoughts?

What dose cytomel are you on?  What dose synthroid?  How long have you been on both meds/dosages?

Do you have current labs that you can post, so we can see what your actual hormone levels are?  Be sure to include reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to be posted with results.

I've been on both brand name cytomel and generic T3 and haven't had any issues with either one as far as acne.  You could be sensitive to the fillers/binders. They can cause different reactions in different people.

I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one who doesn't get that "blast of energy" after taking my T3 med.

The reason I asked about a Speedy feeling, is that if you did, you might be getting too much at a time, and would be caused by taking the prescribed daily dose all at once in the am, if so then you should split the dose as I mentioned. The strong shot of T3 might also be causing your acne issues.
Have you tried spliiting your dose?     FTB4

No, I never feel that blast of energy people say they feel when they take T3... I wonder why?  I just feel overall better, but def not the way others describe the energy...

Do you feel speedy within the first 5hours after taking your meds? Do you split your Cytomel in two doses a day instead of one in the morning? It is possible that since T3 ups your metabolism, or like when you are going through puberty as a teen some experience periods of severe acne, it is hormones that cause acne during that period, maybe the T3 has a similar effect. If you do not split your dose, try taking half am and half around 2-3pm, T3 lasts between 5-7 hours, then eases off. Good Luck FTB4
