I know this probably doesn't help you now, but next time ask for OsmoPrep. It's tablets you take instead of having to drink that godawful stuff.
It's very gentle, yet effective too. No cramping, no pending "bum explosions". Just a gentle urge to go. There are also fewer reports of vomiting while taking this compared to the liquid preps.
I used the OsmoPrep the last time I had a colonoscopy and highly recommend it for anyone having to go through the procedure.
Good luck!
Family history and paranoia is making me do it. My dad has a history of polyps, starting when he was 40. I just lost my mom to ovarian and liver cancer in February. I wasn't too paranoid after the thyca diagnosis last year, but since I watched cancer take my mom really fast, I want to make sure I have all my bases covered.
What made you decide to do a colonoscopy? Generally you don't need to do one untill your in your 50's?
You got the gallon one HEY?? Sorry Kip. As we talked you know I had the tablet with Ginger ALe. That was nasty too.
I hope you night goes OK - make sure someone drives you - you feel really weak after the procedure.
Let me know the outcome. Love YA!!!!
Sorry it didn't get any better, worse in fact. Next time little green bottle and dulcolax! ;-(
Thanks, Bryan. I gave up. Can't drink anymore. It's going to have to be as good as it gets. Ugh....nasty!
I'm going to bed. Thanks for the well wishes, my friend!
No advice on the nausea, but I wish you luck.
