Pls. read my stupid mistake...hyper / Hypo confused?

Hello,
First of all I would like to introduce myself, Im a male, 31 yrs old, working on a ship at the moment and currently have limited communication with my endo and blood works for my thyroid because of my work.
I was diagnosed with severe GD last year, at first I was put on 45mg of methimazole for about 1 month and then slowly reducing my meds until I reached only 5mg of methimazole per day as my maintenance dose, during that time of meds, I started to feel great again, within this 7 months of taking MMI I don’t remember having any side effects from it aside from small rash that comes and goes, so I just did not pay attention to it, but not until last month, I did a stupid mistake by increasing my dose again because I noticed that I am loosing weight and I want to gain more weight, I self medicated my self without the consent of my endo, I did this mistake because of my phobia going back from where I started before when I was diagnosed with GD,  I slowly increased my MMI dose again to 10mg / day, then as I want to gain more weight quickly I did increased again to 20mg/ day, from the 2nd day that I increased to 20mg/ I started to develop some rashes in my chest that I just ignored it, then I continue till the next day but suddenly I developed rashes almost almost my body, the rashes has different sizes, then I suddenly stop taking MMI. Right after I stop I experienced symptoms of hypo, I have chills and always feeling cold, start to loose hair, peeling of skin in palms, muscle ache and etc. the 1st week since the rashes I did not took any medicine for the allergy because hoping that it will just clear on their own, but about 2 weeks already the rashes are still there and its not clearing up, then that’s the time I took antihistamins for those rashes, and yes after about 6 days of Claritin the rashes subside but it seems that it leaves scars and flaky skin on top, then I started to take MMI again only once a day, but for about 2 ½ weeks of stopping methimazole I started to feel Ill again, I am totally dependent already with my medicine I think, I started to have muscle and joint pain, start hand tremors, difficulty sleeping, difficulty waking up even If I have already three alarm clocks, loosing weight increase bowel movements frequent urinating and other hyper symptoms, but whats bothering me is I always feel cold and its difficult for me to sweat, so I decided to increase my dose to 10mg/ day but it seems it is really not enough, as of now that always feeling cold feeling has change to always feeling hot and sweat easily, and one more thing that shocked me because back to my rashes, when I took hot shower those rashes came back on the same spot that looks like bruises, and it scares me, I did hot compress to those rashes and then it was gone, I am not sure if that’s what the easy bruising or blood clot that is indicated on the box of my MMI that I need to stop right away if I experience that, but the thing is I don’t want to stop my medicine until I reach home did my blood work because without my medicine I really feel sick.  Actually this 10mg daily I think its not taking effect anymore, and one more things is there is always something appaering on my skin now, like red spot pimple like on my body and chest, I dont know if this are related to my thyroid or not, I think I am already allergy to my meds, on my present condition but I am scared now to increase my dose again because maybe something will come up again, even though now I still continue to loose some weight but I still want to stick with 10mg daily, I know I sound stupid on all of this, but because I think I already had a phobia with my past experience during my first diagnosis of hyperthyroid, and thats the main reason actually why I started to increase my dose before because of loosing weight, I know only blood work can fix this all but as of now I have no chance of doing it because I work on a ship and we are in the middle of sea, but next week I will finish my contract and will go home and that’s the first thing that I will do when I reach home, Can anyone please help me with my situation? I will really appreciate any comments and suggestions or even critism because of the stupid act. Does anybody think that these skin condition and severe hair loss is dangerous already? and Is it possible to have late allergic reaction with MMI? because I was thinking that those rashes that appered before is allergy or maybe I overdosed myself with MMI? thanks!

Thank you very much for taking time to read my long pathetic story, you are right, I just dont want to go back from where I am before when my first diagnosis with GD, I was like a walking zombie and feeling like I am already 60 years old, I have read your message and itvwas very enlightening, first thing I will do when I got home is to deal with my thyroid and will be honest with my endo about the stupid thing that I made. Many thanks again, I hope We can figure out whats causing all of this things inside my body.

I have no experience with hyperthyroid or Graves but I just wanted to say that I can relate to not wanting to feel crappy again.

I think at one point a lot of us self-medicated-whether for a short time or not. We are just tired of feeling so bad.  Or not wanting to feel that bad again once we figured things out.

I sent you a message and I hope that your endo can help you along with this!

I did read that MMI can cause an itchy rash and I will try to find out where I read that....
