well first off i dont know if i have found the right board,if not i am sorry,
well just over a week ago i had a cold and a sore throat,the cold as gone and teh sore throat aint so bad,but here is my question,
well i have not noticed it before,thats whats worrying me now,its hard to explain,but i try,say when you tense your neck normally you will see your veins which i gather is normal,but now if i tense my neck it seems i have got a ditch under my chin,top of my adam`s apple,more to the right,i just dont know if its normal,or what could it be??

well i went the doctors today and he looked and said its normal,but that brings me to ask if its normal how come i have never noticed it before?

well i dont know if its normal and i have not noticed it before,it seemed to appear after i got a cold,i have a doctors appointment tomorrow,so hopefully i find out if its anything to worry about,

Well .. I as a patient am not sure either.  Usually the thyroid swelling is the opposite .. no ditch .. it protrudes out.

Ask your Dr if it continues and you are concerned.  Maybe others have an idea?
