You need to be aware that while you are taking carbimazole if you get a really sored throat you need to tell your doctor fast. It could be fine but you could be reacting to the drug, i expect they ahve told you that anyway. It does hurt when you have the thyroid removed but it's not as bad as you would think. I have neck ache and was stiff for a couple of days but I was suprosed how little it hurt. Are you going to have yours removed?
