Thank you. yaaaaaa! I needed some pos. encouragement. for the synthroid. I really wanted to do the natural one. hve you had any trouble loosing weight with synthroid.? my only complain on it was no weight loss and my legs and arms had like slight water ret. The fatigue episode were once a month around the time of my cycle.
I don't get any edema on synthroid. But yes I do get a little fatigued around my period time, but then again I am going through my change early.
Remember- there is not a one fit all when it comes to thyroid patients, so hang in there until you find what works for you.
Maybe you only need a small amount of cytomel added to the synthroid to feel well?
What were your Free T3 results before you went on Armour when on synthroid alone?
Hi again. Bye the way .....I did request the cytomel 5mcgs ......Never took b/c I switched to the Armour.....They had never checked my T3 only T4.....I req. theT3 when I crashed on the Armour. my T3 was in 186 (70-180). Regardless, I now realize they switched me from one day to another on a dose larger than what I was taking with the Synt. I am surprised I did not have a cardiac. I spent 10 days in bed could not lift my arms. Horrible. I am still getting over it. But I cut back to 1/2 of the 90mg Armour pill.and immediatly started feeling better. .....Today I took 75 mg of synthroid and 1/2 of the 5 mcg cytomel will work my way back up to 100 mg. of the synthroid. and go increasing the cytomel until my next labs and this time with an Endo. What do you think? WHAT A RIDE! Do you split your cytomel.?And yes I am starting the change too. Not to mention they havnt told me anything about the anti bodies yet.? They think I actually had Graves? at some point and then I went Hypo? So unds like Hashimotos to me.....there is definate autoimmune activity there.
