Extreme muscle aches and tingling and numbness; please help:

Hey there,

Three years out and STILL having issues trying to get this dosage right.

Recently lowered my Synthroid from 150 to 137.   I find that on 150, I feel more 'aggressive' and a bit more strung out so my doc lowered me to 137.   The issue is that on 137,  I literally CAN NOT get out of bed.  My ability to go into restorative sleep has been an issue since having my thyroid removed, but I thought maybe wanting to sleep more was a good sign, that possibly I've been overmedicated all of this time.
However, the aches in my buttocks and lower back are excruciating!  My arms are numb and tingling upon waking and ache so much.   I am guessing that regardless of labs that these are hypo symptoms?   To be honest, I have no experience with hypo or hyper symptoms prior to my thyroidectomy so I have no clue.  But I would love some feedback.
A doc suggested compounded levo at 143.
My labs are kind of pointless to list because they never equate to how I am feeling.  I'm thinking either my brain or pituitary is broken or something is just wrong.

I would just love feedback on these symptoms because it is almost 1pm and once again, I am so very exhausted and can't get out of bed because I just kept getting jolted awake in my sleep and ache. :(

I have had numerous symptoms of both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism including neurological symptoms. I used to wake up with tingling/numbness in my hands/arms due impaired glucose tolerance (showed up on an oral glucose tolerance test) which in my case was caused by hyperthyroidism.

High glucose excretes magnesium so you end up also with low magnesium levels (this deficiency causes anything from pain to muscle cramps). I find magnesium deficiency symptoms are worse in the morning in particular. I have read magnesium levels are lower in the morning and afternoon.  But to add, hypothyroidism causes pain and muscle cramps too.

Even though you don't think your labs equate to how you feel, it would be helpful for you post them, so we can see what your levels are.  That's all we have to go by, since your symptoms could apply to either.  Please be sure to post corresponding reference ranges with all labs posted.

There are a lot of things that can cause the numbness/tingling, including, both, hyper and hypo... Have you have you had vitamin B-12 tested? B-12 deficiency can cause that kind of exhaustion - "too tired to sleep"...   Do you take magnesium at all?  Magnesium deficiency can cause the aches/pains you describe, plus it can affect your sleep, as can vitamin B-12 deficiency.  Magnesium is also "calming".  Also, have you had any adrenal testing?

Those are just a few things we can discuss after we have a look at your thyroid labs.
