Signs of Levoxyl overdose?

I've been battling diarrhea for the last 5 months.  Along with that, I've been jittery, experiencing tachycardia and extreme heat intolerance.  If you're taking too much levoxyl, can it cause these symptoms?  It happens only in the morning about an hour to an hour and a half after I take my levoxyl.  By 11:00am, I'm fine.  Does this sound likely?  I have Hashimoto's and possible gluten intolerance but have been gluten free for 2 years now.  Thanks so much (:

I've heard that we have a "surge" of T3 first thing in the morning; if true, that  could account for your symptoms.

Levoxyl is a T4 med, so what you're feeling today would be the result of medication you took a week or more ago.  How long have you been having these symptoms?

What are your current thyroid levels, including reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and must come from your own report.

Yes it is possible that too much T4 medication can cause you to go Hyper and have those symptoms.

You should talk to your Dr about your symptoms.  Since this seems short lived, you may want to talk to the Dr about reducing your does or possibly splitting by cutting the pill in two and take half of it twice a day.

Another possibility is that you are intolerant, sensitive or allergic to some of the buffers and fillers in the medication.  Changing brands  or manufacturer of the T4 medication may help in that case.

Have you taken recent blood labs?  If so please post the results ALONG with the reference ranges.
