could be pit related? but it doesn't sound right..make the phone call...this sounds like more than a thyroid issue.....i'm no MD...i would get a 2nd opinion. i'm as confused as you....please keep me posted
It also concerns me that it is only on one side
LCH is very rare and hand tremors can be a sign of that due to a tumor pressing on the brain. What organ is causing it then??? If you say the piturtary glad, i am making a phone call today. He actualy seems to think its all due to the thyroid.
LOL< sorry, didn't mean to confuse you. So your hypothyroidism is due to the LCH? I wish I could be more help. I have no idea what that is, but having secondary hypothyroidism, I believe , means it's not the thyroid causing problems. Hand tremors isn't a common symptom of hypo.if anything it would be a symptom of hyper. Have you asked your doc about how this affects your thyroid?
LCH = Langerhans cell histiocytosis. But my diagnosis is subclinical secondary hypothyroidism or something like that. A real mouth full. Yes I am having symptoms. The most noteable is hand termors on my right side only that is most violent when I first wake up.
Anyway, you kind of threw me with the DX thing because in the military that means something damaged you turn in to get replaced ;-)
Was the dx, hashimoto's? If so this can happen, and they will increase the dosage. What is LCH? 4 months on replacement hormone isn't long at all. They don't tell us this when we get the dx'd. Some people take longer to get the right dosage or right kind of thyroid replacement...are you having hypo symptoms?
I was diagnosised the end of last year, started on meds, and went into normal range. The range is .450 - 4.5.
Last test was 2.56
this test was 4.89
Yes I know, no t3 or t4, i usualy "adjust" the lab slip but I forgot to this time.
In about 4 months, on meds. I am also exploring a reoccurance of LCH which is really unpredictable.
When were you Dx'd, and what was the Dx? If Hashi's, and in the dosing stage this can happen as the antibodies slowly attack your gland...so it just keeps putting out less thyroid hormones. I'm in the same boat..sometimes posting labs with ranges included can get you more help here. Do you have those?
