I suspect that I might have hypothyroid but wanted professional opinion..

I am a 32 year old female. I have been suffering for almost 4 years now and I cant seem to get Doctors to run tests that mean anything..

Symptoms are:
*Fatigue all the time
*Headaches alot (sometimes migraine with aura)
*Pain in my upper back between the shoulder blades which radiates up my neck
*I am almost 80 pounds over weight with no appetite no amount of excercise helps lose even 1 pound
*NO libido
*I seem to constantly be fighing either a sinus infection or allergies of some sort
*Ive got pretty much constant diarrea unless Im taking Metronidazole
*My periods are becoming very irregular and moderately painful
*Im cold all the time (was diagnosed with Raynauds disease when I was a kid but spend many years with no symptoms until the last few years)
*I feel like Ive been drinking 3 pots of coffee (shaky inside my body) This symptom started about a month ago
*I dont sleep real well and when I do, I wake feeling very sore all over my body
*Muscles seem to be becoming weak
*I struggle with what I thought was acid reflux burning in my throat almost nightly
*I do feel as though I am mildly depressed but when I tried taking anti depressants that were prescribed, I felt sooo much worse
*I feel as though Im in a brain fog ALOT

Right now my doctors are sending me for a CATscan of my neck and head because he thinks I might have a mucus pocket somewhere that is causing all these symptoms. But I dont think thats it and I dont think that paying for a 1800 dollar CTscan is going to diagnose anything...it didnt the last three times.
I have had one series of a full blood work up done about 3 1/2 years ago but nothing sense. They foound arthritis in all that blood work but nothing else.
Could this be Hypothyroid and if you think it is, how do I find a doctor to actually listen to me and test for it or at least get my doctor to be more thorough?

It is always waiting, it seems.

Keep us posted on what you learn.

Good luck.

Thank you for your input. As of this evening, my Dr. wants to see what a CTscan of my head, neck, and upper back shows on Friday before he will discuss anything further. So I guess I wait some more......

It would also be helpful for you to get a copy of those labs from 3 years ago.

If you do, post the results with the reference ranges here for input.

Definately get retested as mentioned above.

I think you need blood work done if it has been 3 1/2 years. There are several that will test your TSH, T3, T4 etc.
