Surgery...

Am back from surgery and at home!   Calcium level at 8.2!   Vit. D & Pot. still low will need to keep taking 4,000 units of D and 2 K-Tabs for awhile.   Other than throat being slit, feeling better!  Have to wait about 4wks until I can have tumors removed from ribs.

Thanks for all your thoughts and help during this!

WOW ...

Have you had a 24hr urine analysis to make sure you aren't prone to kidney stones?  I'm serious esp. with calcium issues as you describe ...

I have calcium oxalate kidney stones but my calcium is fine in blood and urine analysis.

Seems the calcium pulled from bones was growing on ribs.  Thyroid okay - parathyroid tumor size of 1st joint on little finger was attached to top on left thyroid.

Bio looks good so far.  They'll do another set when they remove ones from ribs.  Thanks!

So glad you are home.  I must have missed a prior post .. tumor on ribs?

What was the biopsy result going into the thyroid surgery deemed?  What did they say after the surgery.
