Symptoms of hypothyroidism but normal T4 and TSH

I am a 34 year old female with persistent symptoms of hypothyroidism: fatigue, decreased ability to concentrate, freezing cold all the time (when everyone around me is warm), increased frequency of periods, occasional numbness in toes and hands, hair loss, dry flaky skin and skin problems, anxiety and mild depression (which is being treated), inability to lose weight despite increased (forced despite complete lack of energy) activity and decreased appetite. Blood work all normal including T4 (15.1 pmol/L), TSH (0.75 mU/L), estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, CBC and biochemistry profile, also normal profiles for immune function, immunoglobins and negative for lupus etc. Anyone with experience/expertise on normal T4/TSH levels with abnormal T3 levels? Or any other rule outs for these symptoms.

The first question I have to ask is whether or not that T4 is Free or Total, and what is the reference range?  If the lab report doesn't specify "free", then it's most likely total, which is considered obsolete and of little value.  Reference ranges vary lab to lab, so must come from your own report.

Did you have a T3 test done?  Was it free or total? Again, total is considered obsolete and of limited value.  If you had a T3 test done, please let us know the result, along with the reference range.

What immune function tests did you have done and what were the results w/reference ranges?

I had most of your symptoms plus insomnia. I found I was iodine deficient and now take iodine supplements. All symptoms have been relieved. I was never overweight because I could barely manage one meal a day. Now I eat twice as much, sleep twice as much, and have to fight to keep from losing weight. I don't know if you are lacking in iodine. My intention is to illustrate that it is hard to diagnose some ailments. I was only very slightly hypothyroid, by the way, yet the effect on me was huge.
