Yes, don't worry to much about that, my ENDO told me that he had patients with a very high titer, whish means your autoimmune disease is very active, and you must be carefull with your thyroid levels (to not become very hypothyroid). I would ask for an ultrasound.
TPO antibodies can also cross react with ANA's , if you have an autoimmune disease you can have another, just remember this. I discover that I had a thyroid problem because of my TPO antibodies, I also have positive ANA's, this was last year. I did all possible autoimmune analyses and all came back negative. Now I still have high TPO antibodies, normal thyroid levels and no medication (feel ok), so this Hashi thing didn't go so quick as I expected. Last month my doctor asked again for all autoimmune analyses, just routine (my ANA's are 1: 615).
Thanks for responding. I am taking thyroid replacement and waiting to see the endo. The 30,000 number just seemed so high. I'm a nurse and that number even freaked me out. Have you ever heard of any so high?
Yes looks like Hashi, mine are more then 1000, so I don't know if it's much higher. If your TSH is high with that antibody titer, you should start treatment.
