TSH 3 Generation Test

I have a question.  I am hypo thyroid.  I have been on Amour 60 mg for a couple of years and have done well on it.  My last set of blood tests had a 0.2 for my Tsh 3rd generation and is the range of .40-450.  My endo put me on an additional medication of levothyroxine 50 mcg.  My primary care doctor said I am being over-medicated and that I should not be on the levo along with the Amour.  What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you.
Marty

When I started taking synthroid levothyroxine I started getting burning in the mouth so I was switched over to tirosint levo (just a few days ago).  I do have dry mouth sometimes (have had dry mouth on and off for years). Also I have allergies and get allergy shots (about a month ago I took a severe reaction to an allergy shot (first time in over 20 years).  Since that time I have a feeling of being allergic (like feeling like a sore throat is coming on in the stationary tubes in the ears when you swallow, but  no sore throat comes).  Nasal passages do show allergy.  No allergy shots planned for awhile. Other than the mentioned upon, I feel fine.  I have never had any problems with the amour alone.

Hello,

I would want to know your results for FT3 and FT4.  TSH is not a very useful tool, particularly when a person is on Armour.

Also, how do you feel?  Any symptoms of hyperthroid (being over medicated)?
