Magnesium citrate helps many Hashi hypos with that
I cannot find my T3 and T4 levels from my labs. I remember they were dead center in the range that was posted. My TSH is a 2.01 with the upper range being 4.9 and lower being .3.
My doctor is hesitant to add more meds because he says it will slow down the function of my thyroid even more. I am only on 50 of Synthyroid but have never gone over 5 or out of range on any of my levels. Getting meds because I feel bad and to regulate TSH.
I hate the bloating:(
Thanks for your help!
I do feel your pain. I have this problem to. Some mornings I wake up with a moon face, and some mornings it is not quite as bad as others. I don't think I am on the right dosage of thyroid meds yet.
Is there anyone out here with hypoT that DOES NOT have this problem? I just wonder if this is something to be learned to live with.
Thanks for asking this.
Post your current TSH, FT4, FT3 levels along with your level of medication. You may need more medication. If the TSH is supressed, and the thyroid shuts down, then the antibodies usually don't attack it as much.
I take Selenium once daily for the thyroid swelling. It has helped tremendously. When that doesn't work, I take a Motrin. This has also helped with the facial swelling, but I don't know if I'll ever have a slender face again.
