Some of you may remember me. I posted last year about a multi-nodular goiter. I still have a large goiter with nodules, but the nodules are not large enough to biopsy so they are just monitoring it with ultrasound. I originally became very tired, with my hair falling out and heart palpitations. At this point my TSH was around 4. My endo put me on synthroid, the lowest dose and I started to feel great. He thought I may benefit from Armor and switched me to that instead (as my TSH was not that high). Now a year later, I started one grain of Armor 15 mg a day. I went today to get my blood results and my TSH jumped to 17.198 in one month. He now has me on 30 mg and I have to go back in a month. I did get extremely tired in the last month with a lot of muscle aches. I've also had shortness of breath and heart palpiations again, but he told me that I would get them from being hyper not hypo, so its not related. I mean, I'm not a doctor, but I really think my heart palpitations are related to my TSH being high. It always happens this way. Has anyone had such a fast spike in TSH while starting Armor? I mean this is higher than its ever been. Also, can you get heart palps with a high TSH? I've also been on a diet for practically the last year and I CANNOT lose weight. It's driving me nuts. I know people have mixed results with this, but I can't lose anything, sigh =(. I guess this is just life long battle to feel normal.
Thanks everyone,
Danielle
