Glad you're feeling better. You sound like a really strong, brave person. I am still thinking of you and am here if ever you want to talk.
WOW! Thanks again - you are stars all of you !!!
Rite760 - thanks for your note and the uk info - I have a little note book going now as a 'thyrodictionary'!
stella5349 - why didn't I think of the lapto thing?? I have now got the hubby on the case to get his old one up and running and hand it over to me!! (He got a new one only a couple of months ago, so perfect!).
AR-10 - yes I see what you mean about the 'chat' thing and I have been reading, (and reading!), my way through all the threads and making notes. I guess it is just me needing to 'talk' about all this and so many questions to ask of anyone who has been through it. The Doctors seem to have so little time and you wish you could pour a coffee and sit with them for an hour while you thought of all the things you need to ask!
So far the response to my questions on here has been amazing though, so I guess I'll be making a nuisance of myself for a bit longer. Who know - maybe I can be the one helping someone new in time? I hope so.
But you know how it is.......late at night.......worried.......scared....no one to talk to? But I'll get there - just had a bad few days!
Chit Chat - again thanks for you comments. I am having my bloods checked next Monday to see what is going on now post op with my levels. I guess then they will put me on something and if I have the rest removed will revisit the whole thing. Yesterday I felt cold, tired and my heart was racing so 'something' is going on!
Sending hugs out and thanks to all of you for your thoughts

There is no "chat" feature on the board.
On this type of board, a chat forum would be a poor feature, because all that information exchanged would be lost.
You may end up getting bad information, and no one would come along to see it and offer a better answer. The threads are here. You may not get to talk "real time", but the advantages of this type of forum outweigh a chat forum. You get much more input on your questions.
Your TSH level sould be somewhere between 0.8 and 1.8. If you have cancer and are treated for it, the doctor should try to hold your TSH below 1.0 for cancer suppression in th future.
Your Free T4 and FRee T3 should be about two thirds up the scale from the low end to the high end. Does that make sense?
If the T4 scale was 0-9 (it's not), then your T4 should be about 6 or 7, if you see what I mean. Just an example, and not using actual real numbers.
Can you buy another laptop? I DID. Rite has good advice and she is from your area - she is a great source in the UK.
Google search papilliary carcimona. You will learn a ton of things and most is very good news.
After a while you need to become familiar with thyroid acronyms - (almost like getting a degree in medical tech terms) LOL
Below under - to the right side is a block called "Health PAges" look under thyroid acronyms - click there and you will see many definations on many terms used for thyoid related things.
Morning Jacqui, here in the UK the normal range for TSH is 0.5 to 5.5, but can vary slightly depending on what hospital you use. The normal range for T4 is 11 to 26. Also, thyroid cancer is virtually always a primary. It would be extremely rare to get it as a secondary as far as I know. That is why it is so treatable. Hope this helps.
