Thyrogen. How long does it do what it does?

Had thyrogen shots last Monday and Tuesday.  Blood test was done Friday.  No body scan this year.  But they messed up the blood sample.  Lab called today and wanted more blood, but when I called the dr and asked if my levels would still be where they were last Friday, I was told they'd get back to me.  Any advise?

Yep.  I have to redo the test.  This was just a bad deal.  I live away from the lab.  So we're talking like 420 miles driven, 12 hours of sick leave gone, not to mention lost time at work.  the lost testing supplies, and it sounds like a gal got fired over it.  So they are trying to get a new kit and I will have to retest in a month or so.  Bum deal all the way around.  I was so thrilled to have to just do a blood test this time and no full body scan.  Turns out it would have actually been less hassel to have the scan.  Who knew!

Serum thyroglobulin (Tg) should be obtained 72 hours after the final injection of thyrogen.
