I don't think it is related but I'm not an expert either. I do know that diabetes can cause neuropathy but you usually get it in your hands also. I would assume with the signs and symptoms that they have checked you for diabetes. Multiple endocrinopathies are common ( such as high cholesterol, diabetes, and thyroid disorders ). If you have high chol. and we know you have thyroid problems, it would be worth looking into.
This may sound weird, but when I have trouble with regulating my meds and get hyperthyroid, I get a numb spot in my foot. Once my levels get back to where they should be, it goes away. Maybe you should get your TSH checked?
