Cronic Coughing with phlem

Can thyroid nodules be related to this cough that I have have for many years?

I did read that sinuses can be affected with a thyroid issue...I too have nodules and the cough....if I laugh , I cough...sometimes it causes me to gag to the point I vomit...so I am always saying, don't make me laugh.....not sure if this is what u r talking about.
