Unable to tolerate any type of Thyroid medication

My throat swells up after taking every different type of thryoid medication after a month. (I tried 4 different kinds) I'm not sure what to do. My thryoid endocrinologist says I simply need to lose weight (20 pounds). She says I do not have a thyroid problem. It is just my body working harder with the extra weight. My TSH ranges around 2-4. I haven't been in the ideal range for years and it is is affecting my fertility.

Hello...

What medications have you tried and for how long have you stayed on them?

Were you also tested for the actual thyroid hormones, Free T4 and Free T3 or did they only test TSH, which is a pituitary hormone and not really indicative of actual thyroid hormone status?

If you have results for Free T4 and Free T3, it would be helpful if you could post them, along with their corresponding reference ranges.  Ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report(s).

Is your TSH of 2-4 with medication or without?

It's always easy for endos to tell us "all" you have to do is lose weight, but most of them don't have hypothyroidism.
