It's not for sure yet. I still have to have Thyroid iodine scan and possible FNA for nodule. I am more concerened about what Dr. said ( to many negatives, really unnerved me, and no positives. Most of us can deal with it easier if we know both pros and cons.I think, and are better informed. But. he is surgeon, said they might not be able to do surgery even if it is Cancer. ?? Because I have a scar on throat from old Trachetotomy (done 14 years ago) No issues from that now, and I am otherwise heathy. Nice Dr. but young , very little experience in this surgery, so he will refer me on to head and neck surgeon. If it's benign won't need to worry. Otherwise how can they leave it there? Leaving you between rock and a hard spot so to speak. Anyone else have this done having tracheotomy in the past with the normal trach scar?
That is the part causing anxiety, not so much surgery itself. Would appreciate it if anyone can relate to this issue, or just to have some info on others about the surgery. Thanks, Cherann
