Using Raw Thyroid or Thyroid Supporrt OTC?

In November 2010 I went to see the third endocrinologists, my TSH level are borderline of Hypothyroidism and they found two small cysts on my thyroid. I am complaining for the last 4 1/2 years of no energy, very sluggish metabolism, gaining weight, my allergies tripled, I have to carry epipen now, plus I am very easily irritated. I am a single parent of two little children.
The third doctor put me on Synthroid 0.05m, and I felt great right away, my energy, good mood and libido was back. Even my children said I am a better mom on pills. 4 weeks later I almost fainted from the high blood pressure 164/104, family doctor told me to stop Synthroid immediately and put me on high blood pressure pills "take as needed". 3 weeks later I was able to see my endocrinologists, who advised to take only 1/2 pill. After two days I woke up with heart beat 105, which I could not get down for 4 hours (until I took the blood pressure pill). The endocrinologists refused to discuss any other kind of medication, and I have to stop Synthroid immediately.Sad for me, I remember how great it was for the in a long time, I was the same person as the 4 1/2 year ago.
Please help, I am back to sitting on the couch and staring on TV, forgetting to check my kids homework, and hardly doing anything

Forgot to mention - I don't recommend using OTC supplements,  because they are not regulated, and you have no idea what you are really getting.

Lab results will help us immensely.

It's not unusual to have symptoms when starting a thyroid med or changing doses.  It's always best to start at a very low dose and let your body adjust to it.  It takes 5-6 weeks for the medication to reach full potential in your body.

You might try splitting your pill into quarters for a while to see if your body will adjust.

Do you have any lab results that you can post for us?  Have they done any tests, other than TSH?  You need also to have a Free T3 and Free T4 test, along with tests for antibodies to see if you have Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

If you can post your lab results, with reference ranges, since these vary from lab to lab, members will be able to comment more fully on your individual situation.
