I understand surgery removing the thyroid and about parathyroids not being touched.

Yes parathyroids have been moved to other parts of the body to function. I know that too.

What you have expressed in your posts defenately reflect a possible parathryoid situation -

Appropriate testing to start with (if you had not had this ) would be:

PTH - VitD - serum and ionized calcium - phosphorus  - YOur calcium testing of 10.1 is high but a doctor may look at it as a sub clincial problem.

A Sestamibi scan may help also.

Classic signs of a parathyroid issue is stones. I think you should see the website parathyroid.com

Removing of the thyroid glads does involve leaving the parathyroids un touched. Or as Ive heard they can move them,Been to urologist many time and had four surgery to romove large stones, shock treatment and laser removel, I'm looking for damaged parathyroid glands.Only the urologist can do is put me on water pills and drink drink drink.

You need to pursue a really good dr.  I agree with stella5349.

Can you see a kidney dr too?

Your TT should have nothing really to do with your parathyroids

An ultra scan will not matter

You need a sestamibi scan to determine issues on the parathyroid.

Please visit the parathyroid.com website for information.
