Changing my major for less stress?

I am hypothyroid with pituitary problems. I am 42 years old and I am a nursing major. I am trying to read and learn from all of you about all of this. Does thyroid problems require a lifestyle change, or does it just take time to get the dosage right? Would it be healthier to have a low stress job?

Here in Kingsport we have so many specialty hospitals.  Heart centers here are in high demand of cardio help.  They have some nice sign on bonuses too.

With radiography...starting wage here is about 140,000  but that is 4 yrs of college ..seeing as though we are already in our 40s...I might do the 2 yrs...first to see how things go....Do you know how long nurses have to work...sometimes 16hr shifts...until you can climb the ladder and get all daylight..or what ever shift you want...being on call after your shift has ended.

But you may be up to that...Being a good nurse is hard work....are you ready to be on an emotional roller coaster....I dont know if I could..  Your wage should be up there too.

Like you..  I have to do more research.

I know right now with this hyper..I get emotional quick

Have you checked the demand for those job fields? I am interested. I know quite a few nurses and it is a stressful field. One of my professors told me today that once I am regulated I should be fine but it is not unwise to think of the long term affects of a stressful job along with living with thyroid problems, research more and talk to people and see if this is a real issue to consider or no big deal.

I dont know about nursing...Im taking radiography..and Im not sure about that either.  Before I dropped my class I would shake so bad I couldnt hold my pencil. Forget about taking a test...I kept second guessing myself.  Its soon time to sign up for spring classes and I am just not sure.

I had Chemistry last semester and that is the only class I took...Hard class.

Cant go wrong with the medical field...I also thought about cardiovascular tech.  I believe they only start out at 40,000

Hello    I ve done the same thing.  I have hyperthyroid. I dropped my anatomy and physiology this past semester.. I just couldnt concentrate.. Im hoping to go back in the spring but I dont know about that.

I started taking medicine in Sept.  I do feel better but not up to par.  I have heard it could take awhile to get regulated.
