Thanks! Doc has increased but he's only been on meds for just over a month. Thanks again!
Considering all the possible contributors, such as progression of the Hashi's, along with lab test variability, that change is nothing to be alarmed about. More important I would think is that both FT4 and FT3 are in the lower half of their ranges, which frequently is associated with hypo symptoms. Many members report that they feel best when FT3 is in the upper part of its range and FT4 is at least at the midpoint.
If your husband is still having hypo symptoms, likely it is time for a med increase.
At first I thought the same thing but after I thought about it I thought it seemed to be a bit extreme after taking that much med. I don't know for sure but I'm thinking there has to be another reason. Maybe he needs another medication.. I guess it's a wait and see. Thanks!
Maybe the hashi's is progressing, with his thryoid getting less able to produce hormone over time.
Be patient and keep testing, it can take a while to get levels optimised.
Target TSH would normally be around 1.0a nd FT3 and FT4 in mid to upper half of the reference range.
