Thanks Kimberly, it's nice to know there's others out there. That's why this site is a great resource. We are not doctors, we are the people who live with the disease(s). That goes both ways. Hope you and your daughter are feeling ok now.

Hi, I am also a single mom. I have Hashimotos which is not being treated properly so trying to get this worked out with doctors/insurance, etc.
My 15 yr old daughter was just diagnosed with under active thyroid and an enlarged pituitary gland. Her TSH test came back at 588 - doctor said in all his years he has never seen this. Trying to get her the help she needs. My mom passed away just 10 months ago. I, too feel very lonely and frightened at times.
Being a single mom, having to work a lot in the past years to provide for my 2 children and not feeling well most of the time, I have not made friendships.
I am sorry I do not have anything to offer in the way of medical advise. I would like you to know that if you ever need someone to talk to or just vent always feel free to get in touch with me. Have a nice weekend, Kimberly
Hi Lorraine,
I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling so horrilbe right now. The only advice I can give here since I don't know of these medications, is to call your doctor and make him/her go over all of this with you. If you are feeling miserable, something's not right. Maybe it's time to go get a second opinion and find a doctor who will work with you if this one won't.
Good luck. I hope you are feeling better soon!
Lori
