Without levothyroxine for TWO WEEKS

Hi,
Due to an insurance lapse, I have not been able to get my 75 mcg levothyroxine filled.  I am starting to feel pretty lousy.  Rather than go into the details, I was wondering if someone could post here to point out the symptoms and how one would feel if they missed their levo for two weeks, so I can compare and contrast.
There's lightheadedness, brain fog, feeling out of sorts, etc.
THANKS for the info, folks!  I am kind of shut in lately and cannot seek help until next week.

The body is a "well-greased" machine and many things run together.

Keep it "oiled" with what it needs to stay running smooth.

It takes twice as long ( if not longer) to get back up to speed ( heath wise) when this typ of medication is abruptly stopped.

Also quitting your medication - could shock your adrenals and estrogen levels and make this a more complex issue.

Just the thought of going without my med for two weeks gives me a panic attack. I know how bad my symptoms have been when my levels are off. I sure hope you are able to get your meds soon. Im not trying to scare you if it sounds that way I am just making the comment as to how my body would react without my meds since I dont have a thyroid. God Bless.

You aren't required to have insurance in order to fill a script - as LazyMoose said, you can pay cash for it.

When I was on generic levo, a 3 month supply was < $30 without insurance.

I hope you've been able to get back on your med?

Dont let yourself run out! Its not worth it. Just pay cash, dont run it through insurance.

I know my cash price of generic Levo for one month (back in 2008) was as low as $9.00 with no insurance from a big 'box' retailer. Shop around.
