breathing and shortness of breath

Sometimes while relaxing or riding in a car i have troubles catching my breath and swallowing, i was prescribed an inhaler but it never seems to do the trick. I never have this problem after jogging or just throwing around a football or something. The attacks really seem to trigger when im driving or riding in a car. What could be the cause of this?

if car is new, either the "new car smellthat trigges the allergy or if car is old , the mold particles from the heating ducts are doing the same

I have asthma and have confused the tightness in my chest with asthma when it was actually anxiety.

Do you have motion sickness in the car? Is it only when you are the passenger?
