elavated blood level

Hi,I had my thyroid checked in jan, I never heard anything.I went to a dr yesterday and he sent for my blood work and he called me and told me that my thyroid blood level was slightly elavated.I have extrem anxiety so he wanted me to go be retested which i did today,Havent heard nothing yet,I have had anxiety for 18 years..it would almost be a relief if they found something,But then i dont know about the dangers of a messed up thyroid,So any info would be great,,,Thanks

I had extreme anxiety and insomnia with a "borderline" TSH.
Gone with treatment, I might add!

An underactive thyroid can definitely cause anxiety. If I were you I would self educate myself about this disease. Make sure you work with a compassionate doctor, and be proactive during your journey to recovery.
