enlarged lymph nodes

im 20 this years. I encounter frequent sore throat since I was 17. When I was 17, there was once when my sore throat didnt not recover even after having antibotic. I ended up consult a specialist and the doctor suggested to remove tonsils by surgery. Somehow I did not go for the surgery and my mild sore throat continued for almost one month. After that, the problem gone. However , I discovered that my lymph nodes in neck are swollen and nvr shrink back to normal size. I dont feel painful or whatever. After that I always have frequent sore throat but can be cured after taking antibiotic. Then when I was about 18,I started to experience excessive underarm sweating which I never had before. I profusely sweating even under cold condition. I think I have axillary hyperhidrosis. I was thinking whether the sweating problem is related to the enlarged lymph nodes. I wonder I had thyroid cancer or something like that. I am so so worry.

I never had diagnosis except the time when I went for specialist for sore throat problem. The doctor didnt do ct or whatever test. Since that I never back to do check up because I think it's ok. I also never had test for thyroid, or tsh. So I totally no idea about my health. But im planning to do the blood test soon.

I suspected I have hyperthyroid because I have some of the symtoms such as insomnia, decreased heat tolerance, excessive sweating, fatigue. but I don have problem like hair loss or staring gaze. So Im really not sure.

i used to be like you.  i worried about all sorts of health problems.  it's hard to get past, but you have to get your mind on other things.  divert your attention.  don't look up health problems on the internet...you'll find that you have symptoms of everything.  you have to try to get over the what if because there are an infinite amount of what ifs.  you'll drive yourself nuts.

do you have thyroid issues?  hyper?  hypo?  have you been clinically diagnosed?  high or low tsh?

get a general physical done...blood work and talk to the doc about the lymph nodes and ct with contrast.  it'll give you some relief.  but afterwards, you have to divert yourself.  don't obsess on your health or other what ifs,  find something constructive to occupy your time.  read a book, garden, draw/paint, exercise, etc.

I can never relax. I'm such a hypochondriac. I over worry for my health. I never had blood test and Im planning to do it. But I'm worry if I found I have any diseases. I wish I have someone to talk to,not only for this thyroid problem but also my hypochondria. Im really worry , I feeling like crying. I hope Im not getting throat cancer. I dont want to suffer from any illness.

try to relax.  we all have swollen neck lymph nodes.  that's the most common place for people to have them.  i have them.

go to the doc and express your concerns about the nodes.  ask if they could do a ct with constrast to evaluate the nodes.  that will show any abnormal nodes.
