I'd have the test repeated if I were you, especially if you do not have symptoms of hypo. Ask them to include FT3 and FT4 with your TSH. These are the actual thyroid hormones and will give you a much better idea of the whole picture.
Thank you for your comment. I have been on synthyroid for almost 40 years and this is the first time I have had a reading like this... usually my results are within the norm not sure what happened this time...
This means your thyroid is low (hypothyroidism)
Do you experience symptoms like swelling, tiredness, weight gain?
If yes, hormones such as armourthyroid or synthyroid should be advised by the doctor. i hope this helps.
