facial flushing

Hi I am new here, still trying to get diagnosed, waiting on test results, but am wondering if anyone out there gets facial flushing? It kind of feels like a sunburn when it happens, and is kind of tingly, but not warm to the touch. I get it out of the blue a few times a day and have heard that with thyroid disorders it can happen.

did you ever find anything to help with the flushing? i get it also. it's awful and it's disrupting my life and affecting me more than any other symptom at the moment. i am hoping that someone has found a link to a cause or better yet a cure.

Yes i have only started this flushing of neck and face around 12 months ago,,was dx hashi/hypo in June..

i also get the flushing....can't really be sure what causes it.

Often face and upper body.  Can be associated with stress, but not always.... sometimes with eating.... sometimes just is.

My doctors have no idea.  So I just live with it.

The doctor sthought I had Shingles. Then Lupus. Then I finally figured out I had Hashimoto's disease and I asked for the TGab and TPOab antibody tests.

Mine gets worse after the shower. I get this burning around my hairline and below my eyes like a sunburn. Sometimes, I get it on my back. I have played around with different products. I don't sell Mary Kay, but I do use it, and so far, their basic cleanser is better than the harsher cleanser I was using.  Also, if I put Vaseline on my burning right after the shower, that soothes it too. My doctor gave me a prescription for Nexoral that really helps the scalp burning.

Yes, people with Hashimoto's Thyroid disease can get rashes, flushing, raised skin, dry, itchy skin. Here is a good article about auto-immune disease and rashes.
