Hyperthyroidism

Hi,
I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a week back. I had hives which has gone now and my Doc said my T4 levels were high. I was scheduled for radioactive iodine scan but it was postponed bcoz of the contrast dye injection in my IV. So please tell me what other tests can be done to diagnose the type of hyperthyroidism i have. I'm 29 years old.

I can see enlarged thyroid when i put my neck back and there is some discomfort in my throat (not exactly pain)

Ask your Doc to run a TSI (Graves Antibody) test.
This will determine Graves Disease 100%.
Also have you tried anti-thyroid meds first?

And can you get a copy of your labs to post here on your thyroid levels?
