Hi there i had thyrotoxicosis in 1998, it means to much  thyroid hormones, in fact its poisoining, thats why your getting very unpleasant symptoms, have you been tested for Graves Disease? Maybe have your anti-bodies tested for Graves.
Endo,s use the term thyrotoxicosis, i think so you cant understand them, but my thyrotoxicosis, was actually Graves disease.
I would say ask your endo for anti-body test for Graves disease.
Good luck, hope this is off some use to you.

Toxicosis is the term used when you have too much thyroid hormone.  Your T3 & T4 are above the normal lab ranges.  Toxicosis basically means you are toxic, getting symptoms, from the hormones.
Hyperthyroid can cause toxicosis.
I have found that there are many thyroid medical terms that are interchanged.  This is so that Dr. can keep us hopelessly confused.

Has your Dr. determined the cause of your toxicosis?  Keep asking questions.  This can be very unsettling.  I've been there, done that.
I'll go back and read your other post.

I take it that you are hyperthyroid and I'm sorry I can't answer your questions, but I'm sure someone will be along soon, who can.
