Everyone is different.  It could take some time before your doctor gets your med dosage just right for you.  It took me about a year.  I had mine removed in 2002 and still have my dosage changed periodically

Took me about 3 mos and then about a full 1.5yrs to be perfect.  But bcz you are well educated and empowered by what you are learning here, it may be easier and faster for you cause you know there is an adj. curve, which most of us never knew existed and I'm about ready to put that out for a poll!

WELCOME~

It took me switching to SYNTHROID not any generic to get it corrected. I had a TT well a partial the 4th of May and a TT the 27th of May. I am JSUT getting regulated BUT I ahd RAI in july so that was a lil set back. So four months for me. It can take a while hang in there!!!

So hard to say because everyone is different.  I think 3 days to months is a pretty fair range.  Your own experiences will probably end up giving you your best answers.

Good luck as you both go through this surgery.  I wish you both well.
